Perfection is the enemy of progress.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to nail the perfectly balanced meal every single time.

You don’t have to cram in an exact number of fruits and vegetables.
You don’t have to meet certain macro target spot on every single day.
And you definitely don’t need to do 'x' type of exercise for 'y' minutes 'z' number of times a week (until you’re exhausted, no less!) in order for movement to ‘count’.

Decent is okay.

It’s okay to have decent nutrition.

That is, your requirements are being met most of the time from a variety of sources that fall within your likes and means.

It's okay to do a decent amount of exercise.
And going for a walk or doing yoga once a week is a great start to any movement habit (as long as you actually enjoy walking or yoga that is!). Heck, walking around your backyard or any area of your house for 5 minutes is pretty decent too.

The minimum is ok.

And this will change.
Sometimes you can do more, sometimes you need to do less - that’s called life, and we need to roll with it.

There’s no prizes for perfection, especially when it overtakes your life and causes you stress or anxiety.

If you want to make changes that add joy, improve your individual health and increase your quality of life, that’s awesome! Start small. Start easy. Do the minimum. Forget about the quick fixes or the ‘magic’ cures - slow it down. Anything worth doing is worth doing properly, and that takes time. Which is hard. But we can do hard things.
